Jack Daniel’s has once again partnered with the McLaren Formula 1 team to produce a special edition Tennessee whiskey. This year’s bottling marks McLaren’s 1,000th Grand Prix and coincides with the distillery’s 160th anniversary.

The whiskey uses Jack Daniel’s signature grain bill of 80 percent corn, 8 percent rye and 12 percent malted barley. After distillation, the spirit is filtered through ten feet of sugar‑maple charcoal before entering new charred American oak barrels. The liquid is matured for several years and then bottled at 86 proof (43 percent ABV), higher than the standard Old No. 7. Tasting notes highlight caramel, vanilla and toasted oak, a familiar profile for fans of Tennessee whiskey.

A bespoke packaging design celebrates the racing connection. The bottle’s wrap features the papaya and black color scheme of McLaren’s Formula 1 cars along with the number 1000 to commemorate the team’s milestone race. Two sizes will be available—700 milliliters and 1 liter—with a suggested retail price of $34.99 per liter. Availability will be limited to markets where Formula 1 races are held. The collaboration underscores how legacy brands can blend heritage with motorsport culture to engage fans on both sides.

Collectors and whiskey enthusiasts can learn more about the partnership on the Jack Daniel’s website or visit McLaren’s racing partner page. Those who secure a bottle will find that the higher proof lends extra intensity to the familiar Jack Daniel’s flavor profile, making this limited release a conversation piece for both the bar cart and the paddock.
