The Isle of Harris Distillery is a relatively new brand on the drinks scene, having opened its doors to business in 2015 and making a splash with its beautifully crafted and smooth Isle of Harris Gin. Now, the company has launched an exclusive new drink, the Isle of Harris Single Cask, available exclusively through the Royal Mile Whiskies outlet.

Marking the first time the distillery has offered a single cask whiskey to a Scottish retailer, the Isle of Harris Single Cask is available in a limited run of just 225 bottles. Presenting a bold and peaty flavor profile, and aged in a first-fill Buffalo Trace bourbon cask, it finds its roots back in 2018.

In addition to the light touches of peat found in the Isle of Harris Single Cask, the whiskey blends in touches of crème brûlée and deep caramel flavors to enhance the overall body. There are also hints of dried citrus peels and barley sugar that complement the rich, dessert-like caramels.

The flavor profile of the Isle of Harris Single Cask also contains a lighter, more fragrant touch, with elements of mixed floral notes that transition to sweet lavender. There’s even a whiff of dry pencil shavings. This genuinely unique contribution serves as a signature of the Isle of Harris’s style of whiskey.

On the palate, the Isle of Harris Single Cask blends warming spices with ginger cake and traditional puddings, with a perfect finish of cream and licorice that ensures this limited edition will likely sell out in short order.
