To commemorate its 125th anniversary, Indian Motorcycle has reimagined its legendary cruiser with the 2026 Chief Vintage. Drawing inspiration from the 1940s Chief, the bike features sweeping valanced fenders, a lit headdress ornament on the front fender, wire‑spoke wheels and copious chrome. A retro solo saddle and removable leather saddlebags recall the brand’s postwar machines, yet modern conveniences abound.

Power comes from Indian’s Thunderstroke 116 V‑twin, which delivers a stout 120 ft‑lbs of torque through a six‑speed gearbox. Riders can cycle through Tour, Standard and Sport ride modes to tailor throttle response, and Indian’s 4‑inch touchscreen Ride Command display hides neatly in the analog gauge bezel. Navigation, Bluetooth connectivity, Apple CarPlay integration and weather overlays are all built in.

Modern safety kit includes cruise control, ABS and rear cylinder deactivation to manage heat at stops. Owners can personalize the Chief Vintage with accessories such as a quick‑release windshield, highway bars, an adaptive LED headlight, Stage 1 exhaust and high‑flow intake.

Available in Black Metallic or classic Indian Motorcycle Red, the Chief Vintage starts at $19,999 and arrives at dealers in March 2026.

It’s a nostalgic yet thoroughly modern machine designed to celebrate Indian’s heritage while giving riders the comfort and technology expected of a contemporary cruiser.
