Portable audio specialist iFi Audio has refreshed its entry‑level DAC with the GO Link 2, a USB‑C dongle that turns smartphones, tablets or laptops into hi‑resolution music players. About the size of a thumb drive, the GO Link 2 houses a high‑performance DAC capable of decoding PCM signals up to 384 kHz and DSD streams up to 256 times the CD sampling rate. It plugs directly into a device’s USB‑C port and immediately routes audio through an integrated headphone amplifier.

The design incorporates S‑Balanced technology, which reduces crosstalk and allows balanced output using a compact 4.4 mm jack for compatible headphones.

iFi’s Dynamic Range Enhancement circuitry helps preserve detail at low listening levels, while the unit’s firmware can be updated over the iFi Nexis app to add features in the future. A minimal LED on the side indicates the sample rate being decoded.
At around £59, the GO Link 2 offers an affordable path into high‑fidelity listening for commuters and travellers who don’t want to carry bulky gear.
