Whether it’s top-of-the-line titanium,  24-karat gold, or the dozens of jewels embedded into a movement, the tell of a high-end watch is often the quality of the materials it is made out of. While gold and rubies have been used by watchmakers for centuries, H. Moser & Cie introduces a completely new material to its latest timepiece. The H. Moser & Cie. Endeavour Tourbillon Concept Vantablack uses the world’s most innovative light-absorbing material to give its dial the appearance of an inter-dimensional void that looks like you’re peering into the space-time continuum itself. Vantablack — the blackest material ever created —  is at the center of the captivating design of this elegant timepiece.

The 42mm case of this watch made out of 18-karat white gold that adds much-needed contrast to the Vantablack dial. The hour and minute indices appear to float as if they are suspended in space atop a one-minute tourbillon made from aerospace-grade aluminum. The tourbillon is positioned at 6 o’clock and fluidly tracks each passing second. An HMC 804 calibre movement unites those high-end materials with expert engineering to power the watch’s precision timekeeping. A hand-stitched black alligator leather strap seamlessly ties the prominent minimalist black dial and sparkling white gold together.
