The Tourbillon Cardan is a tour de force of precision engineering and design. This timepiece features a swiveling tourbillon suspended by two arched cardan rings, a concept originally developed for pocket watches. These rings keep the tourbillon horizontally oriented, with oscillations ranging from +30° to -30°, combined with the fixed 30° incline of the tourbillon.
This ingenious setup enhances angular velocity and chronometric performance, making it the fastest tourbillon ever produced by Greubel Forsey, with a rapid 16-second revolution.
The watch’s dial showcases the swiveling tourbillon in the lower left-hand portion, while the standard timekeeping functions grace the upper right-hand side. Together, they form the graceful figure-eight shape, a subtle homage to the brand’s 8th Fundamental Invention.
Crafted with precision and innovation in mind, the Greubel Forsey Tourbillon Cardan resides in a 45.5mm titanium case, standing at 18.15mm in height, capped with a domed sapphire crystal. The vegan leather strap, complemented by a titanium folding clasp, adds to the watch’s overall sophistication.
