Since the launch of the rugged G-SHOCK line, the collection has been on the cutting edge of technological advancement and has remained the “go-to” collection for outdoor aficionados, athletes, law enforcement professionals, and military personnel. The latest release, the G-SHOCK GMW-B5000TR-9, is the result of an exciting collaboration between the Casio brand and the Nippon Steel Company. The two companies have been involved in six years of research to develop the Super-TIX20AFG, the new TranTiXXII™-titanium alloy created specifically for the external components of the G-SHOCK line. The Super-TIX20AFG material provides twice the hardness of standard titanium while having the same anti-corrosive and lightweight properties.
The new Bluetooth-connected G-SHOCK follows closely along with the previous line, from a design perspective, featuring the same square shape that is synonymous with the G-SHOCK metal line. However, it does differ from the previous offerings by moving away from the standard black color. While the titanium case is yellow gold, the timepiece features a multicolored ion mirrored-plated bracelet in the colors, red, blue, light grey, dark grey, and gold. The super illuminated LED display, with solar charging and multi-band six radio control, comes together to create the latest addition to an already substantial collection of extremely durable watches.
