Fujifilm just shook up the medium format world with the GFX100RF. This compact fixed-lens camera delivers an insane 102-megapixel sensor in a body that feels more like an X100VI than a traditional GFX model. With its precision-crafted aluminum top plate and minimalist design, it’s clear Fujifilm has the Leica Q3 in its sights—but with a larger sensor and a fixed 35mm f/4 lens (equivalent to 28mm on full-frame), this camera brings serious firepower to the game.

The Fujifilm GFX100RF is the lightest GFX model yet, making it an appealing option for street photographers and travel shooters. The built-in four-stop ND filter is a first for the GFX lineup, allowing for greater control in bright conditions. However, there’s no in-body image stabilization, which means handheld shooting might be trickier than expected—especially at $4,900.

Fujifilm has also included a new aspect ratio dial, letting photographers instantly toggle between nine different formats, including 3:2, 16:9, and 1:1. On the back, you’ll find a 3.15-inch touchscreen LCD paired with a sharp 5.76-million dot EVF for precise composition.
The GFX100RF, available in April 2025, is an intriguing blend of high-end resolution and everyday usability, making it a serious contender in the luxury fixed-lens market.
