The Fisker Pear subcompact SUV does not enter production under 2025, but we’ll see a production-intent example later this month. This electric SUV is making headlines with its bold claims and $29,000 starting price. Here’s what we know about the Pear and the promises Fisker has declared.
Fisker states the Pear will be offered as a short and long-range battery variant with estimated ranges of 180 and 320 miles. However, these range claims were made using Europe’s WLTP calculations, which are higher than the United State’s EPA method. Nevertheless, the Fisker Pear provides the choice of rear and all-wheel drive. The entry-level Pear can sprint from zero to 60 in a manufacturer-estimate 6.3 seconds.
Interior layouts provide seating for 5 or 6 passengers. A Lounge mode allows all seats to fold flat, and occupants can rotate the optional 17.1-inch display to create a relaxation space. The electric SUV features convenient and unique storage spaces like the front trunk, which can be insulated, and the rear tailgate provides a retractable trunk panel.
All these features sound exciting and fantastic. However, claims can only take you so far. Sooner or later, people will demand results. So, we’ll have to wait and see the final draft of the Fisker Pear when it starts production in mid-2025.
