Whoever said a supercar needs a V8 clearly hasn’t met the Ferrari 296 Speciale. Maranello’s latest creation throws down the gauntlet with a hybrid powertrain pumping out over 860 horsepower, promising a driving experience unlike anything else in their already legendary lineup. Joining the ranks of the Challenge Stradale and 488 Pista, the 296 Speciale takes the agility of the GTB and cranks it to eleven.

Visually, it’s unmistakably Ferrari, but with sharper, more aggressive lines hinting at its track-focused intentions. And speaking of track, Ferrari went on a diet, shedding a significant 132 pounds thanks to extensive use of carbon fiber and titanium. The result? A mind-blowing power-to-weight ratio.

Don’t let the V6 fool you; Ferrari has engineered it to deliver an “emotional sound experience” through new acoustic ducts. Paired with an electric motor, this hybrid setup launches the Speciale to 62 mph in a blistering 2.8 seconds, hitting 124 mph in just 7.0 seconds, and topping out at over 205 mph.

But it’s not just about straight-line speed. Thanks to clever aero trickery, the 296 Speciale has 20% more downforce than the GTB and is built to carve corners with precision. Available as both a fixed-roof coupe ($449,000) and a retractable hard-top “A” version ($526,000), the 296 Speciale is a testament to Ferrari’s relentless pursuit of driving thrills.
