A final edition can be a victory lap or a useful edit. The Brunswick 40.5 Jump Hour “Ultimus” closes Fears’ three-year Jump Hour series with its most contemporary display yet. Created with watch designer and content creator Andrew Morgan, the final edition exposes the complication’s rotating hour disc through a layered sapphire and luminous ceramic dial.

The brushed and polished 316L stainless-steel cushion case measures 40.5mm across, 12.8mm thick, and 47mm lug to lug, with 100 meters of water resistance. Three sapphire elements sit above the hour display, including a black-gradient outer dial and a frosted, semitransparent minute track.

A textured luminous ceramic center and fully luminous hour disc glow blue in low light, while an integrated magnifier at 12 o’clock enlarges the active numeral without using a conventional cutout.

A Sellita SW200 automatic movement forms the base, with Christopher Ward’s JJ01 module producing the instantaneous hour change. The 25-jewel configuration runs at 4 Hz and delivers a 38-hour power reserve, connecting the Ultimus to a growing class of modern jump-hour watches that treat display mechanics as part of the design. An Obsidian Black Epsom calf-leather strap comes standard, while the bracelet configuration adds a five-link steel bracelet and retains the leather strap.
The Ultimus is individually numbered but not capped at a fixed production quantity. Orders close at 11:59 p.m. BST on August 17, 2026. U.S. pricing starts at $4,600 before applicable taxes, with shipping scheduled to begin in November.
