Doxa has refreshed its core diver with the Sub 200 II, a larger yet slimmer evolution of the 1960s-era Sub that continues to define the brand’s identity. The stainless steel case now measures 44 mm in diameter but has been pared down to a svelte 12.8 mm in thickness, resulting in proportions that feel more balanced on the wrist than the numbers suggest. The gently curved lugs and compact profile help the watch wear comfortably, even for extended daily use.
The standout feature is the introduction of a fumé dial—a first for Doxa—which darkens gradually toward the edges and is enhanced by a subtle moiré texture. This layered effect adds visual depth without compromising legibility, a key consideration for a tool watch. A unidirectional rotating bezel with an aluminum insert and engraved decompression markers frames the dial, reinforcing the Sub’s diving heritage. Above it sits a domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment, echoing vintage plexiglass while offering modern durability.
Inside, a Swiss automatic movement beats at 28,800 vibrations per hour and delivers a 38-hour power reserve, ensuring reliable performance. The watch is rated to 200 meters (20 ATM) of water resistance, making it fully capable for recreational diving.
Buyers can choose from black, gray, blue, or green fumé dials, as well as a more distinctive Redcoral version paired with a black DLC-coated case. Strap options include Doxa’s signature stainless steel beads-of-rice-style mesh bracelet or a color-matched rubber “Diveflex” strap.
Pricing starts at $1,690, with the DLC Redcoral bracelet model at $1,890, and deliveries expected by late June.
