DJI has just entered the 360-degree camera arena with the Osmo 360, an action cam built to shake up the dominance of Insta360 and GoPro. It captures stunning 8K video at 50fps—beating the Insta360 X5’s 30fps—and offers a continuous 100-minute recording time without overheating. Weighing in at just 183 grams, the Osmo 360 is lighter and more compact than competitors, thanks to its new square 1-inch HDR sensors, which are fully utilized for immersive image capture.

DJI’s Osmo 360 also delivers 10-bit video, giving content creators greater latitude in color grading. While it lacks swappable lenses, it compensates with up to 120MP still photos and DJI’s advanced RockSteady and HorizonSteady stabilization. Lower the resolution to 4K, and the camera can hit 120fps for slow-motion footage, with seamless switching between lenses mid-recording.
This powerhouse comes with 105GB of internal storage, dual wireless mic input support, voice and gesture controls, and AI-powered subject tracking through the DJI Mimo app. Add-ons like an 8-foot selfie stick or battery extension rod make it even more versatile.
While it won’t initially be released in the US, DJI indicates that stateside pricing will be between $550 and $700. For those serious about immersive storytelling and content creation, the Osmo 360 may be the new king of the action cam hill.
