What Your Coffee Order Says About Your Personality - IMBOLDN
Go to Top

Surprisingly enough, your coffee order speaks volumes about who you are as an individual. Much like the clothes you wear, the music you listen to, or how you enjoy spending your spare time, what you order is an extension of your personality. So with one not thinking twice when ordering a triple shot latte with a touch of cinnamon, we’re going show you what your coffee preference says about you.

Latte

A latte is known as a long drink. If you happen to live in the city, it might mean that you’re a little laid back than most people wrapped up in the rat race of life. This drink either means that you have the time to enjoy it, you’ve made it, or people shouldn’t bother you until you’re finished. Many people shouldn’t feel embarrassed to order one, but there’s plenty of men who feel too macho to be caught with one in their hand. If more men knew that it’s the go-to drink in Italy, they likely wouldn’t be so embarrassed sipping on one in public

Espresso

An espresso is known as the “unfiltered cigarette” in the world of coffee. If you’re drinking this, it’s likely that you know how to drink it because you’ve been drinking coffee for quite some time.

If you're sipping on an espresso in fitted suit, you look like you're going places.

You want your caffeine now and you want to look stylish while you drink it. If you’re sipping on an espresso in fitted suit, you look like you’re going places; If you’re sipping on an espresso in flip flops and a t-shirt, you’re not fooling anyone.

Iced Frappuccino

If hot coffee isn’t your thing, iced frappuccino is the cooling and delicious alternative. But if you’re a gentleman looking to seem professional or look stylish, this isn’t necessarily the drink of choice. This is often the coffee associated with vegan dog walkers who teach Pilates on the side, not James Bond or Chuck Norris. There’s nothing wrong with a guy enjoying an iced frappuccino, but the image you’re projecting might be teetering on the edge of oblivion.

Cappuccino

Being caught with a cappuccino tells everyone around you that you’re a newbie to the world of coffee. There’s nothing wrong with that, it’s just worth noting that the cappuccino is known for being a gentle drink. Why? Well, it’s small, it utilizes a significant amount of frothy milk, and it is usually dusted with chocolate. It allows one to have a quick drink and go about the day. So if you’re looking for something that offers more than a quick bolt of energy… this might not be the drink you want.

Flat White

A flat white coffee is known as the regular coffee order. You don’t necessarily need the caffeine fix  or drink the coffee without additional flavor, but you’re not putting in so many syrups or spices to make your coffee barely resemble what it once was. You drink your coffee in one of the most enjoyed forms on the planet. That’s right, you genuinely enjoy coffee – and there’s nothing wrong with that.

Black Americano

This coffee is no joke. It’s strong and no-nonsense, much like the individuals who drink it regularly. So regardless if you’re a police detective, a night shift journalist, or involved in any other no-nonsense occupation, you’re consuming coffee in its purest form. This form of coffee doesn’t taste great, but it will wake you up in no time. It’s also worth mentioning that if you’re drinking black americano to look to tough, make sure nobody catches you dropping a few sugar cubes in it to give the coffee some flavor.

Expresso

Listen and listen wisely: expresso is not a real drink. If anything, you need to drink an ESPRESSO and learn how to properly pronounce ESPRESSO. By calling it “expresso”, it shows that you not only don’t understand Italian, but you don’t know coffee. In addition to this, the term kind of insults everyone in the coffee drinking world.
