Dennison is taking inspiration straight from the 1970s with the release of the ALD Dual Time, a bold reinterpretation of the twin-display watches that defined an era. While small hand-winding calibers powered the originals, this modern reissue features reliable Swiss Ronda quartz movements, ensuring precision without compromising retro charm.

True to its heritage, the ALD Dual Time features a crown on either side of its 37mm by 35.6mm case, allowing each dial to be set independently. At just 6.1mm thick, the watch maintains an impressively slim profile, topped with a flat sapphire crystal and finished with a solid snap-on case back. Buyers can choose between polished stainless steel or gold-tone PVD-coated cases, paired with an upgraded Epsom calfskin strap that adds a refined touch missing from earlier editions.
The real star here is the dial selection. Dennison offers two layouts: one with aventurine, tiger eye, malachite, or lapis lazuli accented by a matching circular sunburst subdial, and another with split designs such as bloodstone and lapis or tiger’s eye and black marble. The result is a collection that strikes a balance between nostalgia and striking individuality.
In a market crowded with GMTs and world timers, the ALD Dual Time stands out for its simplicity and style. With its slim fit, dual-display practicality, and refined materials, this $890 release brings vintage cool into the modern age, offering something distinct for collectors who appreciate both heritage and innovation.
