Swiss watchmaker, De Bethune, has once again pushed the boundaries of horological excellence with their latest creation, the De Bethune DB28 XS STARRY SEAS. This exquisite timepiece not only embodies the iconic design of the DB28 collection but also introduces an unprecedented feature that sets it apart from its predecessors.

With a reduced diameter of 39mm, the DB28 XS STARRY SEAS boasts a world-first—a random guilloche dial. Crafted in blued titanium, the dial showcases a mesmerizing starry sky adorned with white gold stars, creating an enchanting visual experience. The silver-plated hours and minutes ring, complemented by transferred Arabic numerals, add a touch of elegance to this celestial masterpiece.

The case of the DB28 XS STARRY SEAS is meticulously crafted from polished Grade 5 titanium, measuring 39mm in diameter and 7.4mm in thickness. The watch features the patented floating lugs, an innovation introduced by De Bethune in 2006, ensuring optimal comfort and a secure fit on the wrist.

Protected by a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with double anti-reflective treatment, the watch reveals its intricate inner workings. The back of the timepiece showcases a sapphire crystal with an engraved blued circular satin finish titanium ring and a titanium plate adorned with the exquisite “Microlight” decoration.

At the heart of the DB28 XS STARRY SEAS beats the mechanical hand-wound DB2005 caliber. This remarkable movement comprises 160 meticulously crafted parts, including a self-regulating twin barrel, a titanium balance wheel with white gold inserts, and a “De Bethune” balance spring with a flat terminal curve. The watch boasts 27 jewels and operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, offering a power reserve of six days.

Completing the exceptional craftsmanship of the timepiece is an extra-supple alligator leather strap with alligator lining, ensuring both comfort and sophistication. As a limited edition masterpiece, this timepiece is priced at $90,000 and represents an investment in a watch that embodies the spirit of De Bethune’s unrivaled expertise.
