Japanese watchmaker Credor has introduced the Goldfeather Tourbillon GBCF997, a limited edition that distills the brand’s long-standing mastery of engraving into an ultra-thin, highly expressive timepiece. Rooted in Credor’s Goldfeather lineage—known for its pursuit of slimness and elegance—the watch pairs technical restraint with decorative complexity.

At its core is a manually wound tourbillon caliber measuring just 3.98 mm thick, an unusually slender construction for a complication of this type. Despite its compact dimensions, the movement delivers a 60-hour power reserve and places its tourbillon prominently at six o’clock, where it anchors the composition both visually and mechanically. The case, rendered in Platinum 950, measures approximately 38.6 mm in diameter and 8.6 mm in height, maintaining a refined, dress-oriented profile.

The dial is where Credor’s identity becomes unmistakable. A radial pattern of hand-engraved lines emanates outward, intersecting with a finely executed nanako texture—often described as a “fish roe” motif—that adds depth without overwhelming the design. Roman numerals are subtly integrated into the engraving, appearing almost as if they emerge from the metal itself rather than sitting atop it. The tourbillon bridge is equally considered, finished with a lightness that enhances the sense of motion as it rotates.
Produced in extremely limited numbers, the Goldfeather Tourbillon reflects Credor’s continued commitment to artisanal watchmaking. It is less about spectacle than proportion, surface, and quiet technical achievement—an object that reads as much like engraved metalwork as it does a mechanical instrument.
