Chronoswiss has just released the Delphis Sub Zero. This striking timepiece is immediately recognizable by its bright blue shiny CVD-coated case, a nod to glacial landscapes and arctic skies. With a 42mm diameter and a 14.5mm height, the Delphis Sub Zero features the brand’s signature case with intricate knurling, a prominent onion-shaped crown, and straight lugs with a patented screw-in system that secures a matching blue rubber strap.
The dial of the Delphis Sub Zero is a masterpiece of contrasts and textures. The upper dial showcases a silver galvanic hand-guilloché background with an arched retrograde minutes track and a jumping hour window reminiscent of icy terrains. The lower half of the dial features two openworked matte black bridges over a grained black base, with a curved small seconds sub-dial that sports a blue CVD coating and a smaller guilloché pattern. The retrograde minutes track and small seconds hands are skeletonized, adding to the watch’s modern aesthetic.
Powered by the contemporary automatic caliber C.6004 developed by La Joux-Perret, the Delphis Sub Zero boasts an openworked tungsten rotor and ruthenium-plated components visible through the sapphire crystal caseback. This movement operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour and offers a 55-hour power reserve. Limited to just 50 pieces, the Chronoswiss Delphis Sub Zero combines technical prowess with stunning design, priced at $19,855.
