Although a resurrected brand, the legacy of Carl Suchy & Söhne stretches back 150 years to the Austro-Hungarian Empire where “there was only one address for luxury watches.” If you want to know about the level of quality that Carl Suchy & Söhne provides, you can rest assured that it met the standards of Austrian Emperor Franz Joseph the First.
Re-established in 2016 after decades of inactivity, Carl Suchy & Söhne recently released an exclusive set of watches in a new Waltz N°1 Skeleton design. With a transparent glass dial and back that provides an open view to the sophisticated, ultra-thin, Caliber 5401/180 automatic movement beneath, these watches are marvels of state-of-the-art design and technical watchmaking expertise.
In a nod to the extensive cultural heritage of Carl Suchy & Söhne, the designers of the Waltz N°1 Skeleton drew inspiration from Austrian architect Adolf Loos, whose minimalist style helped shape modern architecture as we know it. At 41.5mm across and 9.3mm thick, the Waltz N°1 Skeleton is limited to only 5 pieces.
