CalDigit just dropped the 4th iteration of the iconic Thunderbolt Station, the CalDigit Thunderbolt Station 4. The company says its purpose is to make it possible that users never run out of ports. To that end, the Thunderbolt Station 4 features 18 ports of connectivity, more than on any Thunderbolt dock ever. It is also compatible with Thunderbolt 4, Thunderbolt 3, USB4, and USB-C computers. The Thunderbolt Station 4 provides up to 98W of power, ideal for large screen laptops; in addition, one of the front-facing USB-C ports can supply up to 20W of power for USB-C devices.
Furthermore, the Thunderbolt Station 4 boasts single 8K or dual 6K 60HZ displays for vibrant visual clarity. CalDigit included other unique features like the 2.5GbE, 2.5x faster than traditional Gigabit Ethernet. The company says 2.5GbE is becoming the new industry standard in switches, routers, and NAS devices. This Thunderbolt Station can also provide offline charging, allowing users to charge USB devices, such as phones, even when it is not connected to a host device.
