The Navitimer is undoubtedly one of the most iconic watches ever made, with its unmistakable slide rule bezel and dial that may be too busy for some but absolutely entrancing for others. And there’s something very charming about the vintage Navitimers with their smaller 41mm dials (which were still huge by the standards of their time) before some of them became the 48mm monstrosities of today.
Well, there’s good news for vintage Navi fans. Breitling has recreated the 1959 reference 806 Navitimer to the point that it’s damn near identical to the vintage model. It sports the original dimensions of 41mm case, 22mm lug width, and sub-13mm height. Of course, it gets all the benefits of a modern watch, like the upgraded chronometer-grade movement (the B09 manual wind in-house caliber based off the B01). The Breitling Navitimer Ref. 806 1959 Re-Edition is limited to 1959 pieces.
