Breitling, a manufacturer of fine timepieces since 1884, recently introduced the Breitling Chronomat Automatic GMT 40, swapping out the chronograph found on its larger models for a simplified look with a dual-time-zone configuration. The company says the Breitling Chronomat Automatic GMT 40 fills the size gap in the middle of their collection, by adding a new 40mm case. What’s more, the watch’s globetrotter style lives up to its namesake, GMT, the original international time-zone standard.
The Chronomat Automatic GMT 40 is Breitling’s tribute to travel, with its dual-time-zone display and easygoing aesthetics. Georges Kern, Breitling CEO, says these timepieces have “a character all of their own,” even though “the collection is already known for pushing boundaries.” The all-steel case and bracelet enhance the watch’s subtle anthracite, blue, green, black, or white dial color choices.
Additionally, Breitling added a tone-on-tone 24-hour scale to accent the red GMT hand. The Chronomat Automatic GMT 40’s practical size and understated style can go from the gym to a black tie event and look great at every step. And the GMT 40 also boasts 200-meter water resistance.
