Field watches usually paint lume into their markers. The BOLDR x Windup Venture LE V3 builds much of the dial furniture from it, giving a familiar titanium tool watch a more architectural nighttime display.

The collaboration revives a partnership last seen five years ago and begins a three-watch series, with each version limited to 100 pieces. The sand-dial release retains the Venture’s compact 38mm diameter, 42mm lug-to-lug length, and 12mm thickness. Its sandblasted titanium case carries a sapphire crystal, screw-down crown, 20mm lugs, and 200 meters of water resistance—the practical proportions expected from a modern field watch, without leaning on faux patina.

Large numerals at 15, 45, and 60 minutes sit around a central crosshair, while the date moves to the 30-minute position. Raised Lumicast blocks mark the main dial and chapter ring; dots glow icy blue while the remaining numerals and rectangles emit green. Dark red printing and a turquoise date wheel interrupt the warm sand and gray palette, with a matching turquoise minute hand. A Seiko NH35 automatic movement provides hacking seconds, hand winding, and a quick-set date.
The 100-piece Sand edition was priced at $429 with late-November shipping. Its product page now lists it as unavailable; two additional 100-piece variants are planned over the next six months.
