The classic diver’s watch is reimagined with the new Blancpain Bathyscaphe Fifty Fathoms Day Date Desert Edition. The Fifty Fathoms Day Date Desert timepiece is inspired by the sandy landscape of Nevada’s Death Valley region where famous underwater photographer Ernest H. Brooks II dived to explore Devil’s Hole back in 1962. The watch comprises all the features expected in a traditional driver’s watch while breathing new life into the design. Offering a brown ceramic unidirectional satin-brushed steel bezel, measuring 43mm in diameter, the watch showcases Liquidmetal hour-markers.
Designed with a desert sand color palette with a sunburst pattern, the watch is water resistant up to 300 meters. The durable sail-canvas strap is plenty strong, and yet it is comfortable to wear in both dry and wet conditions. The Blancpain Fifty Fathoms timepiece comes with a 5-day or 120 hour power reserve.
