The Lockheed SR-71, dubbed the Blackbird, played an important role in the history of the United States Air Force, as it was used throughout the 1960s. Built to reach Mach 3+ speeds, the Blackbird was designed to out-fly a fired missile, so it is able to handle considerable force and the pressure that comes from flying at those speeds.
The Blackbird LE Automatic’s design is based on the construction of the Lockheed SR-71. The pilot watch features a 45mm stainless steel case and a 42-hour power reserve. It also comes in a number of band colors, including silver and rose gold. It features a skeletal dial, allowing you to see everything going on within the watch, all while being thoroughly protected. Encased by a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, capable of withstanding depths up to 100 meters underwater. The backbone of the watch is its surgical grade stainless steel material that makes the watch able to handle it all.
