Heaven Hill Distillery has introduced a special bottling to celebrate twenty years of Bernheim Original Kentucky Straight Wheat Whiskey. Launched on February 23, 2006, the original Bernheim pioneered the use of soft winter wheat as a primary grain in American whiskey – the first new whiskey style since Prohibition. The 20th Anniversary Limited Edition comprises a small selection of barrels aged for a full decade. Bottled at 115 proof (57.5 % ABV), the whiskey offers a rich, copper hue.

On the nose it presents cinnamon and baking spice layered with vanilla and oak, followed by a palate of molasses and butterscotch. A peppery finish lingers with warmth and balance. Presentation is equally thoughtful: the commemorative bottle features a copper plate on the front that references the brand’s heritage and highlights the anniversary nature of the release.
The whiskey is available in limited quantities across the United States at a suggested retail price of $84.99. For fans of American whiskey history, this release acknowledges Bernheim’s role in rekindling interest in alternative mash bills while offering a mature, 10‑year expression of its wheat recipe. Further information is available via Heaven Hill Distillery, the Bernheim Original brand page and the release notes for the 20th Anniversary edition.
