Everyone loves a pint of their favorite Ben & Jerry’s, and now humans aren’t the only ones who can dig in. New Ben & Jerry’s Doggie Desserts are a canine-friendly “ice cream” from Vermont’s most famous frozen treat makers. Doggie Desserts are frozen dog treats available in two flavors: Pontch’s Mix (peanut butter and pretzel swirls) or Rosie’s Batch (pumpkin and mini cookies). The cups that Doggie Desserts come in aren’t full pints, but rather 4-ounce mini cups. Many people will be familiar with these smaller sizes, as the company’s ice cream is widely available in them too. Cups can be purchased individually or in packages of four. The latter is perfect for feeding the whole pack.
Although dogs find licking ice cream out of containers great fun, Ben & Jerry’s advises against actually serving the treat in the mini cup. Not only is four ounces too much for some smaller dogs’ stomachs, but dogs may accidentally ingest some of the paper cup in their excitement. So, be sure to scoop the frozen treat into a bowl to prevent this. Ben & Jerry’s has long been a favorite ice cream for people, and now there’s something just as delicious for dogs. Pick up a Ben & Jerry’s Doggie Dessert for your canine buddy at your local grocery or pet store.
