Strap on the Bell & Ross BR V3-94 Black Steel and watch your suave quotient just about double instantly. This release is part of the Paris-based watchmaker’s Vintage Collection, which looks to such sources from the realms of aviation, exploration, and auto racing for inspiration. Style is only part of the equation of this elegant-but-utilitarian Swiss-made chronograph. Powered by a BR-CAL.301 self-winding mechanical movement, the Black Steel encloses its sharp dial within a satin-polished 43mm steel case and a curved non-reflective sapphire crystal. In keeping with Bell & Ross’ emphasis on precision and functionality, you’ll find a tachymeter encircling the dial.

The numerals, indices, and hands of the matte black dial are always visible thanks to their Super-LumiNova glow. Within the 60-minute scale of the uni-directional bezel, you’ll find a small-seconds subdial at 3 o’clock, a 12-hour counter at 6 o’clock, and a 30-minute counter at 9 o’clock. With so much to love about this timepiece, the only tough part is deciding between stainless steel or black calfskin bracelets to complete the look.
