Bell & Ross has long owned the cockpit-inspired space in luxury horology, and its latest release only deepens that legacy. Introducing the BR-03 GMT Compass, a limited-edition run of just 500 pieces that blends the rugged precision of aviation instruments with the world-time functionality globetrotters demand. Priced at $5,000, this striking tool watch continues the brand’s “Flight Instruments” saga by reinterpreting the magnetic compass as a mechanical wrist instrument.

The BR-03 GMT Compass features the iconic 42mm square case, rendered in satin-finished and polished steel, paired with a bi-directional 24-hour bezel in blue and black anodized aluminum. Its dual-time functionality is driven by Bell & Ross’ BR-CAL.303 automatic movement, boasting a 54-hour power reserve and quick independent GMT hand adjustment. Travelers can simultaneously track home and destination time zones — but this watch goes further.

Thanks to a graduated dial, cardinal-point bezel engraving, and a diamond-shaped GMT hand, the BR-03 doubles as a solar compass. Orient the GMT hand toward the sun, and the dial helps reveal direction — a clever nod to field navigation and the brand’s instrument roots.
The matte black dial features Super-LumiNova-filled hands for night readability, a sapphire crystal with AR coating, and 100-meter water resistance. With both a rubber strap and ultra-resilient synthetic band included, this is a GMT built for real-world wear, not just airport lounges.
Aviation DNA, traveler utility, and mechanical ingenuity — Bell & Ross proves once again that form and function can take flight together.
