Bell & Ross has returned to its aviation roots with a timepiece that feels as authentic as anything in its catalog—the BR-03 Chrono Rafale Solo Display. Limited to just 500 pieces, the chronograph celebrates the French Air and Space Force’s Rafale Solo Display, one of the most rigorous and respected demonstration teams in military aviation.

The 42mm BR-03 case is crafted from microblasted black ceramic, delivering a lightweight yet durable profile that echoes the cockpit instruments it was designed to emulate. Its stealthy matte dial is punctuated by bold white numerals filled with Super-LumiNova X1, orange chronograph hands, and subtle yellow accents that reference aviation markings. The Solo Display logo sits modestly at the dial’s base, a nod to authenticity over fanfare.
Practicality takes the lead with 100 meters of water resistance, an anti-reflective sapphire crystal, and pushers engraved “START” and “RESET,” lacquered in cockpit-inspired hues. Inside beats the automatic BR-CAL.301 movement, based on the ETA 2894-2, offering a 42-hour power reserve, small seconds, and a central chronograph seconds hand. The watch comes with both a branded hook-and-loop strap for a true pilot-kit feel and an open-worked rubber strap for daily versatility.
At $6,300, the BR-03 Chrono Rafale Solo Display isn’t just another limited-edition watch—it’s Bell & Ross at its best, merging military-inspired authenticity with refined design. For collectors who value purpose-driven timepieces, this one is destined to fly off the shelves.
