Hot on the heels of its Type 11 release in April, the London-area bespoke motorcycle manufacturers Autofabrica are back with two new customized Yamaha SR500s — the Autofabrica Type 7D and the Autofabrica Type 7E.
Crafted to withstand the harshest cruelties of off-road riding and tested to exceed the most stringent extremes, both the 7D and 7E are powered by a fully rebuilt engine with a Makuni VM34 carburetor. They also feature a de-lugged and lightened fame with a modified rear loop, uprated headlight and taillight LED indicators, a customized de-flanged gas tank, a hand bent steel exhaust system, hand-made aluminum front and rear fenders and 18-inch wheels that have been relaced with stainless steel spokes.
The key differences between the 7D and the 7E make for a striking aesthetic contrast. The 7D makes a statement with its metallic black paintwork and trim, while the 7E shines in resplendent glossy white. Although both feature hand-trimmed seats, the 7D’s is upholstered in black suede while the 7E’s features navy canvas.
