Certainly not the fastest convertible in the world, but it’s Aston Martin’s fastest convertible ever. The DBS Superleggera Volante sports a twin-turbo 5.2-liter V12 engine that is capable of generating 715 brake horsepower and 664 ft-lbs of torque. Combined with the car’s high-performance eight-speed automatic transmission, this engine can propel the car from 0 to 62 mph in just over 3.5 seconds and reach top speeds in excess of 210.
In addition to lending the vehicle an exceptional aesthetic flair, key design elements of the Superleggera Volante also add to its driving performance. Its deep aerodynamic side strakes, for example, draw considerable air from the front wheel arches to decrease lift and foster stability at high speeds. The Superleggera Volante also features an eight-layer retractable soft top that can be lowered in just 14 seconds.
