Astell&Kern has built a cult following by crafting some of the most drool-worthy portable hi-fi players on the planet, and its new PS10 continues that tradition—this time with a clever twist. The PS10 is a sleek, stainless steel and glass digital audio player that doesn’t just sound phenomenal on the go—it moonlights as a high-resolution network streamer when docked at home.

That’s right: Astell&Kern has finally merged your home stereo setup with your portable audio obsession. The PS10’s included cradle features XLR balanced outputs for direct connection to your home hi-fi system. Once docked, it functions as a Roon Ready endpoint, supports 32-bit/768kHz and DSD512 formats, and plays nice with Bluetooth codecs like aptX HD, LDAC, and LHDC. It turns your house into an audiophile’s dream.

Internally, the PS10 packs the same HEXA audio architecture found in Astell&Kern’s flagship SP3000. With four AKM AK4498EX DACs and dual AK4191EQ chips, it has more processing power than most desktop rigs. Thanks to twin amplifiers with Smart Gain detection, which adjusts settings automatically based on impedance, it supports a wide range of headphones.
Gone is the iconic side volume wheel—replaced with side playback buttons for a cleaner, more minimalist look. With a 6-inch touchscreen and all that high-end engineering packed into one refined form, the PS10 makes a strong case as the ultimate all-in-one audiophile rig. It will be available in May for $2,500, cradle included.
