Astell&Kern’s impressive run of portable audio devices has expanded with the Astell&Kern A&Ultima SP4000 DAP, the brand’s latest flagship model. The company’s first model to include full Android support, it’s a significant improvement rather than a subtle iteration on previous models.

Featuring the all-new Octa audio circuit architecture under the hood, paired with the AK4191 processor for crisp and vibrant audio reproduction. The Astell&Kern A&Ultima SP4000 DAP’s sound quality is further refined through robust noise-reduction technology that corrects digital signals through a new LDO regulator.
The second-generation digital audio remaster (DAR) technology enhances its highly refined audio capabilities, creating a natural and sophisticated sound. The Astell&Kern A&Ultima SP4000 DAP also sports a 99.9% pure copper Shield Can, marking the first use of this material in an Astell&Kern digital audio player.
Android support allows compatibility with all streaming applications downloaded from the Google Play Store, such as Spotify and Soundcloud Pandora, delivering lossless playback. A 10-driver Universal Fit In-Ear Monitor headset also houses an advanced isobaric cone-to-magnet driver configuration to retain optimal audio fidelity. Two new in-ear monitors from the brand will hit the market later this year for those looking to upgrade to superior performance.
While no price has been announced for the Astell&Kern A&Ultima SP4000 DAP, audiophiles who demand the best possible quality while listening to music on the move are eagerly awaiting it.
