Luxury book publisher Assouline has released a series of stunning hardcover, stitch-bound volumes exploring the history of automotive design, with The Impossible Collection of Cars and Rare Cars being noteworthy examples. Their latest release blends a passion for stunning cars with one of the biggest movie franchises of all time in James Bond Cars from Assouline.

The Bond franchise is no stranger to stylish cars for the secret agent to drive on his missions, from the iconic Aston Martin used in Sean Connery’s Goldfinger (complete with ejector seats), to Roger Moore’s amphibious Lotus Esprit. These and many more classic cars featured in the cinematic franchise are all covered in detail throughout the 300+ pages of Assouline’s James Bond Cars.

In all, Assouline’s James Bond Cars includes over two hundred photographs and illustrations, each presenting the cars in the context of their respective movies, with supporting diagrams. There’s also fascinating text commentary that supports the rich selection of images, drawing on author Chris Corbould’s industry knowledge as a special-effects supervisor and second-unit director on multiple Bond projects.

It’s Corbould’s unique and personal perspective that elevates Assouline’s James Bond Cars above similar publications, offering plenty of first-hand insights that take readers behind the scenes of complex productions. Following on from James Bond Destinations and James Bond Styles, the release positions Assouline as the definitive publisher for all things 007.

With a limited edition slipcase crafted from brushed aluminum panels and matte metal plating, Assouline’s James Bond Cars is an essential tome for car enthusiasts and Bond lovers alike.
