Apple’s September event may have spotlighted the iPhone 17 lineup, but the Apple Watch refresh was equally headline-worthy. The company unveiled three new models — the Apple Watch Series 11, Ultra 3, and SE 3 — bringing meaningful updates across design, health tracking, and battery life.

The Apple Watch Series 11 is now Apple’s thinnest smartwatch yet, crafted from 100% recycled aluminum or titanium and featuring a ceramic coating that’s twice as scratch-resistant as before. The significant development is the introduction of 5G connectivity, made possible by a redesigned antenna system that consumes less power. Health features take center stage with the new Hypertension tool, designed using data from Apple’s Heart and Movement Study, which could identify up to a million cases in its first year. Sleep tracking finally gets an upgrade with a Sleep Score metric, and battery life extends to 24 hours — a long overdue boost from the old 18-hour ceiling. Starting at $399, it’s available in Jet Black, Rose Gold, and Space Grey, with refreshed bands that include new Hermès options.

The Apple Watch Ultra 3 doubles down on durability and performance. A wide-angle OLED display offers the largest screen yet without increasing case size, while satellite connectivity and redesigned radios allow emergency messaging with stronger signals. Add in a 42-hour battery life, new Titanium Black and Natural Titanium cases, and the latest wellness features, and the $799 Ultra 3 cements itself as Apple’s adventure-ready flagship.

Finally, the $249 Apple Watch SE 3 makes wellness more accessible. It adopts Apple’s latest S10 chip, adds wrist temperature sensing, cycle tracking, sleep apnea detection, and the new Sleep Score — plus fast charging for eight hours of power in just 15 minutes. All three watches are now available for preorder and will be released on September 19th.
