Apple has harnessed the innovative technologies behind its latest iPhone release into the most affordable version yet. The iPhone SE was just unveiled, boasting a best-in-class camera along with Apple’s A13 Bionic chip — the fastest processing unit in any smartphone. The second generation of the SE also features a 4.7-inch Retina HD display along with a Touch ID for unrivaled security.

Black, white, and (PRODUCT)RED colorways grace the frame of a compact iPhone that’s small on size but big on performance. Thanks to the A13 Bionic chip at its core, the iPhone SE maintains excellent battery life, all while its processing speed powers responsive gameplay and loads webpages in the blink of an eye. The SE is even engineered to be water-resistant at depths of up to 1 meter for 30 minutes to keep that core intact.

The A13 Bionic processor also empowers a 12 mp f/1.8 aperture Wide camera through its Neural Engine. A front-facing selfie camera stacks up to the resolution of its counterpart by using Smart HDR by intelligently balancing lighting to capture stunning imagery. The Wide camera is also able to capture 4K video at up to 60 fps. Video also records stereo-quality sound and can be edited with the same iOS 13 based tools that were once reserved only for photo editing.

Apple will begin taking pre-orders for its newest iPhone beginning on April 17. 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB models will be available through the company’s website with proceeds from sales of the (PRODUCT)RED version going to benefit the Global Fund’s newly established COVID-19 response effort. That cause helps to bring PPE, diagnostic tools, and lab equipment, along with grants for HIV/AIDS treatment and other much-needed aid to countries around the world.
