A chronograph’s outer scale can change its purpose without changing the movement beneath. The Angelus Chronographe Tachymètre replaces the distance-measuring telemeter of the earlier model with a speed scale, giving the brand’s vintage-inspired monopusher a more motorsport-oriented identity.

The three editions share a 37mm case measuring just 9.25mm thick. Two are stainless steel, with pink-and-gray or gray-and-blue dials; the third uses 18-karat yellow gold with green accents. Domed, grained dial centers contrast with satin-finished chapter rings, and syringe-style hands sit above a 30-minute chronograph counter at three o’clock and small seconds at nine. The tachymeter scale is calibrated to a base of 1,000.

Inside is the manually wound A5000, with a column wheel, horizontal clutch, and 42-hour power reserve. Starting, stopping, and resetting the chronograph all happen through a single pusher integrated into the crown. Water resistance is rated to 30 meters, keeping the emphasis on dress-watch proportions rather than aquatic durability.

The steel gray edition is limited to 50 pieces and listed at $23,600 before applicable taxes. The pink-dial steel version is limited to 30, while the yellow-gold model is capped at 15 and listed at $44,200 before taxes.
Availability is through the brand and its retail network.
