Ferrari’s F80 marks a seismic shift in Maranello’s road-car lineage. This 1,200-horsepower hybrid monster bridges Formula 1 innovation with the last great era of internal-combustion supremacy. But for most enthusiasts, the newly launched 1:8 scale model may actually be the more attainable throne piece—though “attainable” is relative at $21,495.

Limited to 199 pieces, this Rosso Supercar edition is a masterclass in high-end model engineering. Each example requires over 3,000 development hours and 300 hours of hand assembly, crafted by a small team of specialists who treat scale modeling like haute horology. Built using Ferrari Centro Stile’s original CAD designs, paint codes, and material specs, this model is the closest most collectors will ever get to parking an F80 in their home.

Measuring over 24 inches long, the model recreates the hypercar’s radical design language: dihedral architecture, visor-hiding lighting, layered taillights, and extreme aerodynamics inspired by the 499P. Every contour of the carbon-fibre-focused bodywork, every vent, every aerodynamic channel is faithfully replicated through thousands of machined metal parts and photo-etched components.

Inside, the Rosso Ferrari and Nera interior is meticulously finished, mirroring the real car’s motorsport-driven philosophy. Even the hybrid heart—a twin-turbo V6 paired with Ferrari’s first entirely in-house MGU-K system—is represented with exquisite accuracy.

More sculpture than model, the 1:8 Ferrari F80 is a celebration of Ferrari’s boldest engineering leap—captured at a scale meant for serious collectors only.
