Environmentally friendly meets durable with the Alpina Seastrong Diver Gyre Automatic. This diver watch is made using a number of recycled and cast-off materials, including debris sourced from fishing nets for the composite case. Designed to celebrate and help raise money for World Ocean Day, the watch uses recycled material for nearly every part and piece within the watch.
There are a total of five variations of the Alpina Seastrong watch. Three designs use a larger 44mm case, while two use a smaller 36mm version. Regardless of design, the diver watches feature a finish that combines shades of blue, turquoise, and mother of pearl. The two-toned plastic straps are all built from recycled plastic bottles, although you can spring for a leather strap made from recycled apple waste. Even with the recycled material construction, the watches are certified water-resistant of up to 300 meters.
