Independent watchmaker Alexander Shorokhoff continues his penchant for playful design with the Karandash, a limited edition of just 50 pieces.

The 43.5 mm stainless steel case combines polished and brushed surfaces, framing a multilayer black dial punctuated by bright yellow hour and minute hands with red tips and circular cut‑outs.

A green seconds subdial at 9 o’clock and a blue open‑worked date subdial at 3 o’clock balance the composition, while the outer ring carries names of avant‑garde artists as a subtle tribute. Inside beats the hand‑wound calibre 3105.AS, offering a 42‑hour power reserve and lavish decoration, including hand‑engraved bridges, rose‑gold plating and blued screws.
Buyers can choose between a black calfskin strap with green stitching or a fabric‑covered alternative. Priced around €1,471, the Karandash is both wearable art and a celebration of the bold creativity that defines Alexander Shorokhoff’s brand.
