Nike is celebrating three decades of Sergio Lozano’s Air Max 95 by reviving a fabled sample from the vault. The ‘Big Bubble’ version of the shoe, long whispered about among collectors, features oversized Air units in the forefoot and heel, expanding the visible cushioning window beyond what reached shelves in 1995. The upper maintains the original gradient from black to white, rendered in synthetic suede and mesh, while neon yellow pops accent the lace loops, Swoosh and tongue branding.

Scheduled for release on March 5 via Nike’s SNKRS platform and select retailers, the retro runner will be available in full family sizing. Adult pairs are priced at $190, while big kids’ sizes come in at $147.

The shoe retains its anatomical lacing system and reflective heel strip, but the star of the show remains the enlarged Air chambers, which promise a bouncier ride and a nostalgic link to the prototype era.

Unlike many reissues that tweak shape and materials, the Big Bubble aims to replicate the look and feel of Lozano’s original concept. For sneaker enthusiasts, the drop offers a chance to own a piece of Nike lore. For casual wearers, it’s an opportunity to enjoy a classic silhouette refreshed with a modern cushioning scale.

Either way, the return of the Air Max 95 Big Bubble Neon underscores the staying power of 1990s design and the enduring appeal of visible Air.
