Coinciding with the 25th anniversary of the original Tinker Hatfield-penned Air Jordan XI, Nike will soon be releasing the Air Jordan XI Adapt. This high-tech version of the classic basketball shoe retains the original model’s silhouette while adding a few modern aesthetic updates. The new Air Jordans incorporates Nike Adapt power lacing technology, which permits the wearer to tighten and loosen their sneakers through Nike’s Adapt app or by pressing the buttons on the midsole.
In addition to adjusting the fit of the shoe via the app, which features a “Jordan-flavored” interface, the wearer can also customize the Nike Adapt buttons on the shoe’s midsole by adjusting the color scheme and flashing pattern of the buttons’ lights, offering wearers the most personalized Jumpman shoes to date. Truly, the Air Jordan XI Adapt is designed to show off what the future of the Jordan Brand has to offer. The shoes are scheduled to be released on December 30th.
