American Expedition Vehicles (AEV) has expanded beyond Jeeps and Rams to tackle Ford’s heavy‑duty trucks. Its new FXL program—short for 40‑inch tire capability—arrives for the F‑250 and F‑350 Super Duty, offering both turnkey trucks and individual components for the DIY crowd. The headline, naturally, is the ability to run true 40-inch BFGoodrich HD-Terrain KTs without resorting to questionable lifts.

To make room, AEV developed HighMark fender flares and a 4-inch DualSport suspension with Bilstein shocks tuned specifically for the larger tyres. A stamped steel front bumper integrates Ford’s radar for adaptive cruise and driver assists, while a high‑clearance rear bumper improves departure angles.

The FXL package also includes 18-inch Katmai DualSport wheels that are beadlock‑capable, plus an optional 40mm stock adapter plate for even more versatility. AEV will build complete trucks at its Michigan facility but will also sell components individually for existing Ford owners. The FXL will debut at the Detroit Auto Show and goes on sale in early 2026. Pricing has yet to be announced, but AEV says the aim is to deliver a fully engineered system rather than a collection of bolt‑ons.
