For designers and architects, the iPad was the perfect device that could potentially become a powerful tool to assist their design needs. However, the lack of a dedicated stylus and the imperfect nature of many offerings by third parties left this group shying away from the iPad, resorting to their Wacom products for serious drafting needs. Adobe introduces the Ink and Slide, a combination of a stylus along with a device that acts as a virtual straight edge. The Ink and Slide allows you to draw more precise lines on the iPad along with dedicated stamp like shapes as well. It is still far from a Wacom replacement but makes the iPad a bit more useful for those in the design industry as well as for those who want more precision with their iPads.
