Following a 3-year hiatus, Errolson Hugh’s ACRONYM and Nike have partnered again to unveil their first-ever apparel collection with the release of the ACRONYM x Nike 2022 Collection, available on February 10th. What’s more, the collaboration includes new variants of the Blazer Low silhouette in two different colorways. The Blazer Lows will arrive in “Night Maroon” and “Black” and will feature pre-distressed suede uppers with partially detached cutouts throughout. Hugh’s ghillie-patterned ACRONYM branding repeats and covers the whole sneaker, allowing the unique shape and stance of the Blazer Low to stand out. Featuring Nike and ACRONYM’s branding on the exposed foam tongue in a black calligraphy font, the sneaker also boasts contrasting avant-garde graphics decorating the insoles. In a first for the Blazer Low, two removable TPU heel clips and a dog tag have been included on the sneaker for a custom take on one of Nike’s heritage looks.
Next, ACRONYM has taken a unique spin on Nike’s classic tracksuit and imbued the pieces with the brand’s custom graphics and laser-cut panels. For each set of tracksuits, Hugh looks to camouflage systems in creating his own design language. The mesh-lined apparel collection includes reflective elements, 3D paneling inspired by Ghillie suits, and graphic hits courtesy of Japanese graffiti artist NESM and typographer David Rudnick. The jacket sports a diagonal zipper that converts into a jacket carrying strap while the center front zipper is breakaway for rapid removal. Durably made with a soft knit breathable Therma-FIT fabric for warmth, the tracksuits allow wearers to move freely and adapt with ease.
