The 2021 Porsche 718 Boxster 25 is a special anniversary edition celebrating the 25th anniversary of the original Porsche Boxster. According to Motor Trend, the world first saw the original Porsche Boxster concept at the 1993 Detroit Auto Show. This special edition is built on the 2021 Porsche 718 Boxster GTS 4.0 using a naturally aspirated flat-six engine producing 394 horsepower. It can reach zero to 60 in 4.3 seconds, or 3.8 seconds if optioned with PDK gearbox and Sport Chrono Package. However, most car enthusiasts will tell you, if you want to pay for a proper tribute to the Porsche Boxster, get it with a manual six-speed.
Visually, the 2021 Porsche 718 Boxster 25 is offered in GT Silver Metallic as standard, with Jet Black and Carrera White as optional colors. It sports what Porsche calls Neodyme, a cross between gold and copper, on its badging and 20-inch OG Boxster wheels. The interior is completed in Bordeaux Red leather with a matching red convertible top. Customers can option a black interior, but aesthetically speaking, we can’t see why anyone would when red looks so much better on this car. The 2021 Porsche 718 Boxster 25 is set to arrive in dealerships in spring 2021.
