The mad engineers at Ducati have flipped the switch on its latest Monster high-performance motorcycle. The 2021 Ducati Monster is built to be stripped down, lightweight, and faster than the Monster 821. Ducati gave the bike an aluminum frame, reducing the total weight down to 366 pounds. The bike’s design is simplistic functionally, carrying only the absolute essentials: an engine, seat, gas tank, and handlebars. The tank is narrow with air slicing lines making it seem like the motorcycle is sucking-in its cheeks to act as a blade through the wind.
The 2021 Monster has a Testastretta 937 cc twin cylinder L-shaped engine using desmodromic distribution. Compared to the outgoing model, this engine weighs 5.3 lbs less with a higher displacement – having your cake and eating it too. At 9,250 rpm, this improved engine produces 111 horsepower. Standard features include Ducati Quick Shift and Power Launch, and full LED headlight with Dynamic turn indicators. Riders will also enjoy reading the bike’s vital signs on a 4.3-inch TFT color display with a USB power socket. To sum it up, the 2021 Ducati Monster is engineered to be a beast on the track.
