The “biggest BMW ever built” and one of the most luxurious to date, the BMW X7 marks a serious merging of two worlds. Luxury is still front and center, but this three-row behemoth is also designed to be powerful, imposing, and more than capable of off-roading, taking the SUV in a smart new direction.
If you couldn’t tell by the proud, oversize grille or the exaggerated body (which includes larger-than-usual windows and a higher-than-usual ground clearance), then the size of the X7 is extra apparent on the inside. Every leather seat is adjustable, including a spacious third row with its own armrests and cup holders, and you can opt for individual captain’s chairs in the middle row. You can even upgrade the sprawling panoramic roof with Sky Lounge glass, which uses thousands of tiny LED lights to create a night sky ambience inside the X7. This is one smooth SUV.
Under the hood, the xDrive40i features a turbo 3.0-liter 6-cylinder engine, and the xDrive50i houses the twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8, with 335-hp and 456-hp, respectively.
