Board Arrow Auctions is gearing up for its Porsche 75th Anniversary auction in June. This 1990 Porsche 911 Carrera 4 Coupe is among the desirable rear-engine collector cars. However, what makes this tasteful green 911 Carrera 4 special is its former career as a factory test car.

According to its history, the first registered owner of the vehicle was Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, otherwise known as “the Porsche Factory.” The car worked as a test platform for the factory from 1990 to 1993. Among the list of test options fitted to the vehicle is its signature sample green pearlescent metallic paintwork (Gruen Pearlcolor Metallic). Inside, the car features a bespoke green leather sample interior. The theme continues with a green dashboard, steering wheel, shifter, and carpeting contrasted beautifully with blonde wood trim. The trunk even comes fitted with green lining.

Factory options include cruise control, air conditioning, electric seats, and a five-speed manual transmission. In addition to an exclusive center console in-car mobile phone from an era when talking while driving was considered a status symbol. This 1990 Porsche 911 Carrera 4 passed through several hands after retiring from being a test car. The first private owner was the head coach for Germany’s national ski time, Heinz Mohr of Mittenwald, Germany. This stunning green Porsche 911 Carrera 4 test car, and many more, will be auctioned by Board Arrow Auctions on June 10, 2023.
